Fork snap = scorpion grind

This is what it looks like when your fork snaps off for no reason and you scorpion grind your face along a grimy glass covered Grafton Bridge. What the fuck?!!

I got eight stitches in my forehead for the trouble. Youch!

Not quite sure how this even happened, but I'm glad it didn't when I was hauling down Symonds Street. All I did was pop a little hop off the footpath onto the road.


So I'm in the market for a new fork. Let me know what you've got.

RARE FRAME FOR SALE

Got this for the lady, but something better's come up. This is a Frank Clavis track frame, custom built for track hottie Marina Duvnjak, made to take 650c wheels front and back. The theory was that if the rules won't let you run 650X700c for more aerodynamicalness, just chuck 650s on both ends. I don't know if it worked, but I can guarantee you won't see many around. It has a little surface rust, but nothing a new powdercoat paint job wouldn't take care of.

I pulled my old GT cruiser out of the bike room for a bit of a burn the other day. I'd forgotten how much fun this is to ride. Accelerates real fast and canes down hills if you get down low. Hit the brakes, put the inside foot down and skid the shit out of it. Ye ha! Definitely not for sale.

The Take's commuter bike

BMX company The Take are working on a commuter bike. It looks a little like a three bar 26 crusier, similar to the old Powerlites. It's hard to tell just yet, but it looks as if it will run 700c wheels.





I think it's a rad idea and I'll be watching the progress of this thing closely.

Chirs's first track build

Chris from Onehunga sent me these photos of his track frame he has almost finished building, its looking pretty dialed and super clean, and looks pretty rad with curvy seat stays. Ill have more photos of this once it finished. Cant wait to see how it turn out!
